Over the Chinese New Year period The Tan Chin Tuan Foundation has donated $20,000.00 towards the Meals From the Heart Project.
During a CNY Open house at DGN Chew Ghim Bok’s home, the members of RC Bugis Junction raised another $11,000 for the project.
In the words of PP Tan Keng Keng “This is an excellent project whereby for every $1 raised a combined value of $4 meal is given to a needy elder.
Each time when I explained the concept and thought behind , it always receive the wow and ooh and aahs.
For the $11,000 raised last night plus $20,000 from the Tan Chin Tuan Foundationt basically will result to a $124K value for the community out there”
FRCS would like to encourage all Rotary Clubs to chip in for this worthy project which has been on-going for the past eight years. |
